This is basically “ready player 2” with a mix of “ascend online” and fantasy game all rolled into one. It’s rushed in some areas and some characters are easily mixed up or forgotten except for their rolls in the game (healer/ paladin ect). I’ll get the next book just to see where it goes.

Realistic Fiction

Despite being written about the future in a country I’m only vaguely familiar with and featuring animals that have never been seen alive I was able to “see” the story in my head as it was read. Great story, characters, narration, and of course author!

The story telling is awful

The story seems very interesting but the narrator stretches unnecessary dialogue. “no no no, oh God, no god, oh God, I did, you did, I didn’t, no you”. after 1.5 hours we are still 3 inches from the start of the story and stuck in the same starting event.
