Some clever lines but I never cared about the main character. It is plenty silly which I don’t mind if character development is good. But no go. I do not recommend.
Not gripping at all

Such sweetness. Both main characters are lovable ? but you’ve really gotta love Abe. His heart, while reasonably extremely guarded, has been so big all his life.
This series gets better and better; another twist is added with each book. This would make a great original series for one of the many streaming services; that is if one can tolerate the blood and gore; could definitely set off triggers for some. Narrators are excellent! On to the next book!
Worst narrating I’ve ever heard. Terrible story. It was hard to listen to the story because of the horrible narrating.
it seems that the primary component of this story is the inner workings and train of thought of the two major characters, one of whom I didn’t really want to see make it to the end of the book. this is my second listen to a selection by this author. it was the proverbial second..
Narrator can switch voices greatly but his main voice wasn’t good for the story. Deep fast and mumbled. He sounds like Sargent Friday from dragnet or you keep waiting for him to say. It only could happen…. In the twilight zone. Couldn’t get past the voice to enjoy the story.
The last half of the book could have been said in a chapter. Clean the damn ship already and get going.
Some didn’t like this because there was no fighting or conflict, but I really liked it. It was an easy book to follow, not many crew members so you weren’t learning the crew names when things popped up. I started this thinking I’d fall asleep to it which was kind of what I wanted but..
