I read this yers ago and loved it so I thought I’d give it a listen. My problem is the performer speaks to quickly, it’s hard to follow the story.

I loved it, and a wonderful trip through time and enjoyed the different cultures in the story. Thank you!

I liked the story but it’s basic. Not a lot of action. Very level storyline, not too much excitement but interesting. It does drawn you i to the story but if you’re looking for action, this isn’t your book.

This is the kind of book you lose sleep time because you want to listen to another hour more

This is an outlandish story breaking away from Robinson’s norm with more serious plots. It won’t change your life or make you ponder life’s mysteries. It was clearly written just for the fun of it. I don’t often relisten to a series, this one I have, and this one leaves me wanting more of Ishmael!! It is so bittersweet to reach the end, please tell us more of Ish! Best space opera ever.

Final quarter of the book is a cringe-fest of “romance”, poor writing, and likely some strange projection of the author’s fetishes. Why is this so common for sci-fi writers? it’s like they can’t help themselves.

Excellent! Tragedy, Vengeance, compassion and redemption! This book has it all! Can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment.

I think Ms Quinn is a great author so I went back to this something more than 6X. Still could not get through it. tried skipping multiple chapters thinking it would get better. no luck. I will be returning it. Awful.
