I got about 30 minutes into this book and just stopped. The narrator’s falsetto voice was just too much. No way could I stand 8 hours + of his narration. Have returned this book for credit.
The narration is awful

Always a great story from Mr Walker. it was easy to get into the story and the characters. I wish there would have been a second book
I haven’t found a book by NR Walker that I haven’t loved, Evolved was the first time I’ve listened to one of her books without having read it first. Joel brings so much life to all the characters that I couldn’t help becoming completely invested in the story (and I thought his Shaun was pluperfect)..
The story was fine, though honestly whenever they would try to make connections through history, like with pyramids and mummies to vampires, I would just kind of cringe and laugh. My main issue though was the narrator. That man sounds like he is running out of breath at the end of every sentence and I..
I’m a huge fan of N.R. Walker. This was another great story and amazing read by Joel Leslie. You can’t help but fall in love with both C.J. and Noah. Thank you for a great read.
Reread: 8th September 2018 OMG! Rereading this book by listening it when the audio came out made me fall in love with our cheeky, witty and pluperfect Shaun all over again. ? I mean obviously, this is my second time loving this book and I knew how everything will turn out in the end but..
I am not a big fan of dual narration, but this one grew on me as it progressed. I had read the book, but I like to listen to Joel Leslie, so I picked this one up. It’s a good story with lots of drama and emotion. Worth your time and the credit.
an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours, interesting story line, but would have liked a little more background on characters
I am running out of adjectives to describe how amazing Joel Leslie is as a narrator. He does a magnificent job on this very powerful story. Really no words are adequate, sufficient, enough.
