I really enjoy reading this series and listening to it again and again. Joel Leslie does an amazing job with all the different voices, accents, and level of emotion given throughout the characters’ dialogue. His ability to make everything come alone through his narration went perfectly with Himes’ writing ability. I really hope the story..

AWESOMENESS SQUARED
Review from Cronin’s Key III →
The story itself is amazing on several levels. Although I have now ordered softcover editions of the books, Joel Leslie’s phenomenal reading of this tale will curl your toenails & make your heart beat faster. His Scottish accent for Cronin alone is cause for palpitations! I swear I would listen to Joel read the phone..
Not Mr Leslie’s finest- but the story was no help. Plot was simplistic and obvious,
Review from His Omega →
Seriously- the plot was simple and obvious. People had accents for no reason. I enjoyed listening to this book right from the beginning. Great story; – John Picket investigates the possibility of a fraudulent impersonation, then a murder related to his investigation happens and needs to investigate it as well. The woman he loves is in imminent danger… another murder… The suspense keeps growing! The narration in British..
Disappointing.

Any additional comments? Let me preface this by saying I have listened and enjoyed all this series, and i also love Joel reading other books. I didn’t like this at all. He made Jarod (who was 50) sound like a 90 year old. I also didn’t like the change in narrator for the series and..
so good!

I really enjoyed this mystery with a side of romance! Great writing and unpredictable story that kept me interested from start to finish. Narration was perfect! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. The fact that I was gifted this book had no influence over..
