Absolutely sweet as sugar story with reasonable characterization that was surprising and delightful. Really want to hear the story of Kay and Bunny now- but was so pleased to follow the MMCs journey. Narration was perfect, as always. Quick, easy listen for a beach day.

This was a very low stakes and kinda sweet story with great narration. It’s not super deep or complex just fun and rather interesting. I did appreciate that it took place in Brazil and there was lots of Brazilian mythology and folklore with some true history mixed in.
The books are already sooo great but Joel takes these books to the next level! The insane way he is able to do all these accents but still make them all sound different is just insane! Not only that, but the way he is sooooo good at all these difference accents is insane! About to..
