Pirates and imps and sprites and dragons. Hidden treasure and a jewel with the worth of a thousand suns. For a short story, this one packs a lot of fun. And as usual, Joel Leslie’s narration is fabulous!

I am hooked on these excellent mysteries. I can only hope that Audible continues with the rest of Ms. South’s John Pickett series and with the same narrator, who did as good a narration as any narrator I have heard in my 100+ Audible books.
What made this an engaging read is that I could not anticipate what would happen next. The depth of the story line and detail helped to keep listening.
I adored the story it was cute and sexy at the same time. just imagine one stubborn magical sorcerer and stubborn vampire makes an excellent recipe for a very interesting book. I highly recommend this book it was awesome.

I really liked the ebook but I LOVE the audible version. The narrator had a few slip ups when switching between characters but it in no way detracted from the story.

Sloane Kennedy does hurt/comfort like no one else. Joel Leslie is a narration genius. He puts so much emotion into the characters, whose voices are very distinctive, that you can’t help reacting to their pain and their joy. And their arousal. ?
