I enjoy the pacing and narrators. they were excellent. the author took on a serious subject realizing how many LGBT people want to adopt now.

Dacre’s transformation from prickly sea captain to devoted father and loving husband is a joy to read. Ben is the perfect foil, the sunshine to Dacre’s storm cloud. The role of Dacre’s children in bringing these two men together is delightful.

I really liked the story, but it took a long time for the plot to kick in. Once it did, it was awesome. I think I prefer John Solo’s narration, but after I got used to Joel Leslie it was ok. Tal Bauer is such an amazing author so feel every tense moment.
Trauma survival. Nuf said. This hit me in so many feels! Can’t wait to get back to this universe for more!

The narration was both incredible and hilarious, making it one of my favorite audiobooks! The story is so compelling and in depth that it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. 10/10 highly recommend
