Loved the romance between 30/40s men. It was beautiful and steamy with a ton of plot. Some of the internal angst dialogue in the first 1/3 of book could have been edited out but I just sped through it. The last part of the story was amazing!

The story was fantastic. I read the book several years ago and fell in love with Henry. Joel’s narration was pitch perfect, and I fell in love all over again. This and the Red Dirt Heart series remain my favorite books by N R Walker.
Such a good book. Uplifting. Low angst. Excellent narration. I wonder why I waited so long to listen. These characters are the good people we should all be lucky enough to have in our lives.
