Davidson King is one of my favorite authors because she manages to get me hooked with these unique plot and storylines. The story is engaging and the characters are fleshed out. This story made me laugh, made me teary eyed and had me worried for some of the characters. I’m loving this series!

Out of all the 4 brothers. I love Mori’s story the best, this is my 3rd read! I really love Mori and River together ❤️
Engaging characters, and (without spoilers) this series is heading in an intriguing direction with hinted at character arcs that IMO are a more interesting than some other M4M 1880s/1890s mystery fiction. And terrific narration.

There are a lot of reviews on this book already so Im not going to talk about the story but only the parts that I wish were included in the description of the books before reading. So the most amazing part of this story is that the female lead is an ADULT!! Shes over 18..
I couldn’t finish this book because of the narrator I’ll just have to get it on kindle and read it myself because I’m quite interested in the storyline.

I love how sassy and acerbic Ely is and how down bad Julian is for him. I read the book when it came out and wanted more of the couple while waiting for book two. Charlie Adhara never disappoints. An exciting mystery and steamy chemistry between the leads makes this a very satisfying listen.
I liked the overall story, the writing was convincing. My only criticism was the voice for Arthur. I really liked the audio for Derrick. Arthur’s felt a bit overdone(?). These are so great if you like tense thrillers! The last narrator took me out of the story when she’d do a male voice, but it was still good overall. This author really knows how to hold attention!
