Read this the way it’s intended. A book. The voices are misleading. There isn’t a huge twist. It’s entertaining, but reading the reviews, I expected a huge twist. Well, there isn’t one. And the epilogue was cringy.

Gave the second book a try after fighting my way through first of this series. I thought the writing was good but the overly dramatic male narrator and vitriolic premise of the novel nearly killed my conflict averse heart. Enjoyed this entire series from the first paragraph to the last. In fact, I was glad that it ended the way it did to tie the ending back to the beginning five books ago. I like these authors and I now have a better listening device so I can enjoy Joel Leslie at his best…

I’ve read all the books in the Beacon Hill series, and this was at times a surprisingly sensitive portrayal of someone putting their life back together after substance abuse and family tragedy. overall, a good story. Wish some areas had been a bit more fleshed out. the narrator was excellent.
The voice actor was pretty distracting. I couldn’t get into it. I kept picturing CPT Morgan’s son in One Piece. it may be a me problem, but that killed it for me. I gave yo with 7.5 hrs left
