It’s not a bad story. Not really my jam, but the book itself and the characters are well written. All in all, it’s an entertaining, low stakes, pallet cleaning afternoon listen. One of Joel Leslie’s better narrations imo, and I’m not a Joel Leslie fan, so that’s saying something. Anyway, this book isn’t gonna change..

Again love the story line! Very unique. But like in book one the narrator sounds to old for his character. He is a wonderful reader but sounds more like a grandfather character instead of a young prince.

Lily Morton is one of my favorite authors, but this book was a let down. I had a hard time getting into it. It was too much snark and recycled material in the beginning . If you can get past the first hour or so it is a sweet story. Narration was excellent.
It’s often difficult to follow up the first in a series with a story that’s equally as good but Alice Winters does so. All the elements from the first book can be found here but in a different way. I highly recommend reading/listening to them in order. I’ve listened to these books multiple times mainly..
