I found the overwrought emotional narration very distracting and over the top. It was likely a fine story.. felt like I in the middle of a drug infused tirade.
I have heard books read by Joel Leslie and been amazed by the differences he puts into each character’s voice, but obviously this one, he goes beyond. In other audible books, I’ve always had a hard time distinguishing between the character’s ‘mind speak’ versus ‘voice speak’ but in this book, Joel gives the MC’s inner..
What’s not to love; fantasy and MM Romance with a good share of evil characters and wholesome characters. I loved that Laurent was able to remove a thorn from Beast’s aching heart by finally giving himself to Beast. There was lots of steamy romance! The narrator did a great job with exception to the female..
Eliot’s and Danny’s — shared and opposing — character traits are excellently blended to create a believable and beautiful story. Although sometimes inconsistent and wobbly, I thought Danny’s narration expressed his emotional vulnerability perfectly. I loved the distinction between characters, but the Maine accent all over the place. A few steamy “scenes” with a bit..
📖 Story comment: good pace, likeable characters, interesting story. Kim Fielding has a knack for detailed worldbuilding and well developed characters, add in Joel Leslie for the narration and I’m guaranteed hours of my senses and emotions being engaged while I’m transported into the lives of the characters. Flux picks up where Stasis left off,..
Thank you! Im so happy to experience this world again! And with the right narrator for this series to 🙂 I hope to get to follow along with the soon not so little Trouble in the future 🙂❤️
Another fantastic story!!! I’m so excited for the next couple of installments. I wish the audiobooks came out the same time as the Kindle version.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book but it was so sweet and heartwarming. While there is talk of a horrific end to a previous cage mate that made me ill to consider (so read warnings as it’s violent and for anyone that has been abused it may be a trigger) the book..
Love a great Lily/Joel pairing, but the narration and over the top silliness of this one made it impossible to get through.
