The narration was good. Accents were appropriate and consistent. Female voices were believable. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t more period-appropriate language. And “OK” was actually used once, which I don’t think was accurate. But setting that aside, the story was interesting and well-executed. I think Lord Fine may be my favorite character..

I didn’t think I’d live this as much as I did. It sat on my tbr for awhile and I’m upset I put it off for that long. The story was super sweet. Loved this story so much. Joel Leslie did an amazing job. Will definitely listen again in the future.

I really enjoyed this book and the continuation of the series. I have to admit that I tend to get bored with series after a while and had put off reading/listening to this book. I’m very glad I read it and am also glad I waited, because it ignited my interest into the series again…

Overall, I liked the story. I’ve listened to a few books by this author and I like the universe she’s created. But I wasn’t a fan of the male accents. They were exaggerated and grating and took away some of the likeability for the characters.
