This author kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire story…even through the parts where I wanted to look away. Once again the author has no problem with primary characters going through devastating events that aren’t always ok at the end. Suspenseful complicated plot that doesn’t get lost in the details. I picked this book up for the sole reason that Joel Leslie narrated, and boy, am I glad I did! What a great story! You don’t need to be into BDSM to appreciate the narrative, the character and plot development, and the love story. It was definitely an eye opener.

I do not like when a series changes narrators but it is understandable that things happen and a change is needed. This narrator overdramatizes the entire book. I almost could not even listen but I wanted to know what happens after being invested in these characters. That is the ONLY reason I didn’t return it.

I love this series! while Isaac is not my favorite character, Constantine is awesome and makes it worth it. it is nice how Isaac becomes more of a person towards the end and not just a ball of impulses and tiredness. Read or listen to the whole series! You will not be disappointed
I loved this story. It reads like an innocent love story as if written in the closeted 50’s but without any falsity or melodrama. A good read!
