I saw this on a sale recently and I recognized Joel Froomkin’s name because I absolutely loved another series he narrated so I gave it a shot. I absolutely loved this, and I really hope there is more of this series coming (hopefully with Froomkin’s vocal accompaniment again).
This isn’t Tolkien but it was distracting. The narrator was fun – some people seem to have a problem with him but his style of narration fit with the style of the story just fine.
When the angst of many gay romances gets to be a bit too much, I love returning with Jack and Arlo and their family and friends to Amsterdam for a lighter, more humorous and romantic visit.
I can’t even listen to the voices. It’s terrible . So. It recommended this . Even the voice sound like 80 years old.
I read this book when it came out and then immediately bought the audio version when it came out. Joel has an amazing voice and is a true master of his craft. New adventures with some old friends and new made this an absolute delight.
I don’t want to say that he was a bad narrator because maybe with another book might have been okay, but for this character and this book it did not work for me. I was really looking forward to this story and so disappointed the sound of this man’s voice made. Auhly sound like a..

Are the narrators getting worse? Luckily, I purchased series before audible, or I’d be further disappointed.
