I’m kidding sorta. I love Lily’s novels, and this is just what I need after reading a book that disappointed me. I am so reading book two because I need to know what happens next & how Ash is going to remember Lonan again.Also, I can’t wait for Nua [or whatever his real name is]..
I like the characters. The story was sweet. Lose angst which was nice for a change. Predictable ending. Danny’s voice was a dumb jock voice and very nasally.

The perfect combination of believability, feeling, and heat. Good writing. Good narration. Coming off a few bad books, this was a delightful surprise, something I tried on a whim. Really glad I did. I listened in the plus catalog, but this one goes on the wishlist to buy. It’s a feel good re-listen, for sure.
It’s hard enough to write credible romance in a three hour novella, but adding engaging contemporary mystery to the assignment adds to the challenge. On the MM romance end, I didn’t buy the chemistry in most of these, making the open door sex just sex. On the mystery end, most felt very made-for-TV or even..

not a fan of 1 of the narrators, he doesn’t really change his voice when doing the different characters. Books great, story is great. Just kinda loose interest with the 1 narrator.
I liked it, but I like work by the author. Edmund White is not for everyone, Parts are very spicy and a bit graphic. I like the feel of old New York City
