John Pickett strikes me as the Sad Sack Gomer Pyle of Bowe Street. He constantly takes the wrong meaning of every situation, seems dull witted, and never seems to learn from his mistakes yet he always manages to save the day with outstanding humor.
The story may be fine but the narrator has completely turned me off from this book. I have tried and tried to finish this but I just can’t get past this reader. It as if I’m listening to Thurston Howell III from Gilligan’s island reading the book to me. Just preview the book BEFORE. Buying.
