Too far fetched

Review from Unmasked by the Marquess →

I didn’t like the heroine. I think her requirements were unlikely and unreasonable. I don’t believe any woman would give up love because she “HAD” to wear breeches. Society would not have accepted a woman running around London in breeches let alone treat her like a man. It was just too ridiculous and far fetched…

Gut wrenching

Review from Salvation →

So emotional. I felt what Seth was feeling and squeezed my heart. Narrator gave the story life- feeling all emotions. Worth more than 5 stars!

Narration is awful

Review from Goodnight Beautiful →

The story was very predictable and the narrators’ voices were so very cringy. The author painted a picture of two intelligent doctors involved in this but they were dreadfully naive. My 10 year old could’ve figured out the “who done it and why” quicker than those two characters.

Bad Narration!

Review from Say No More →

Why, why, why would you use this narrator??? Please use at least two of you continue this series; a male and a female! It was brutal trying to enjoy the story listening to the interpretation provided. Will not put myself through that torture again!

Lovely, Warm, and Uber Romantic

Review from Merry Measure →

I’ve long been an admirer of Lily Morton’s writing. Merry Measure is succinct but entirely engaging. She writes the city of Amsterdam, a city I loved visiting, as if it was another character of the story. I appreciate the loveliness of Jack and Arlo as well as their friends and Arlo’s family. In many ways..

Great Spinoff, so-so narration.

Review from Pack of Lies →

I love Charlie Adhara’s other series, and I was so excited to hear this spin-off. Unfortunately, this book has a different narrator than the original series, and while I wish I liked Joel Leslie’s delivery, I never have. Charlie Adhara wrote a great story. It was exciting and not predictable, and it’s a testament to..

Delightful classic detective story

Review from The Missing Page →

Main characters are delightful, mystery is interesting, secondary characters are well written, and time, place, and social class are convincingly represented–with the exception of a weird use of “beg my pardon” at the beginning that almost put me off bc I was worried that it indicated the kind of writer that makes one continually edit..

So much potential

Review from Mastering the Flames →

This series has so much potential for a strong story, but the over-done lust/love scenes take me out of it. I end up skipping so much to get last the drivel. This is a strong author, I’m the wrong genre. The protagonist, Isaac, is so annoying. I don’t understand how a 2000+ year old vamp..
