The story was well written with plenty of showing, rather than telling. The protagonists were sweet and lovable, though with depths that made them complex and compelling. the antagonists were truly dark. Quite a good read!

Joel Leslie ruined this book for me. I have noticed that the more popular he has become the more he over acts. I have decided to stop listening to any book he narrates.

Great fun! I miss the narrator on Boyfriend/Husband Material — Mr. Jameson — but still very fun.

I’m gonna give the book a shot but this guys voice is intolerable. A waist of a credit lol.
Great story dynamic and very likable characters.I especially liked the “words magic,” the diversity of powers and the history of the world.The narration is top notch, and Joel Froomkin has done an excellent job at voicing all the various characters.Looking forward to more adventures with Jonathan and the group.

Took me a minute to understand who was who (reader) but once I did, I was hooked!
I love Joel Leslie’s excellent ability to do all kinds of accents. He sounds like a posh English man when he needs to, as well as a plain farmer from Cornwall. He performs them all! So, yes, I enjoyed listening to Malachi’s and Cadan’s story, a typical Lily Morton one. This book is all sweet..
