brilliantly narrated by Joel Leslie again. I will read or listen to this tale of magic and love, or magical love, for many Christmases to come, hopefully. The story is exceptionally British, atmospheric and as always imbued with Lily’s wonderful brand of humour and snark.

The narrator did a fabulous job with the accents, just a bit too much of a gulpy tone for some characters. I had to skip through the intimate scenes, but to be fair, I usually do in audiobooks
