Every review I’ve written for Joel Leslie’s narration applies here — one of my top 3 narrators, Leslie *never* disappoints. The same for Bauer — if he wrote it, I need to read it.
Such a beautiful story! Funny, sweet, and so lovely! Love it so much! Adding the Master Jedi of voices, Joel Leslie, and we have the perfect masterpiece!! Thank Lily and Joel! ❤️❤️
I have had this book in my library for a long time. For some reason I kept procrastinating, but finally queued it up.What a lovely surprise and heartwarming book. Not at all depressing, which I expected.Joel Leslie is awesome as usual, and N.R. Walker is a favorite author.
Joel Leslie and Lily Morton is a match made in heaven! I can’t imagine another narrator giving voice and life to her fantastic words! This story is sweet, funny, and wonderful. The story was both compelling and funny, but Joel Leslie’s narration truly took it to the next level. He was amazing. My favorite part of the book was Fluke the fox, he was all kinds of adorable.
I’ve read and listened to a few other regency eta novels in the last year and this one has been the most boring so far. The author relied too often on the same descriptors (we get it – Diana has a well endowed bosom and everyone smirks “like the cat that got the cream.”) There..
