Wonderful start to the series. I liked the unusual take of magic and dragons. Joel Leslie did a wonderful job with the accents of this story. Can’t wait to see what else is to come

based upon suggestions and reviews, i should have loved this book. could not listen to the reader. some will no doubt enjoy him … but listen to the sample in case you might have the same reaction. giving 3 stars to a book i cannot listen to because not fair to penalize the author.

Very, very slow start. Difficulty getting past the readers voice. Predictable ending. Listened to it all hoping there’d be a twist— spoiler alert. There was not.

i got over 1000 hours of listening to books since I discovered it! I love it when I discover a new author and narrator that just helps you escape and pull you into their world they created. This one is ABSOLUTELY one of them. You will not be disappointed. Hopefully the series continues with all..

Every time I listen, Risk Taker gets better and better. i love Joel Leslie’s narration. Fantastic!

One of my spouses is hard of hearing, and I loved the depiction of the frustration as well as the accomodations Ethan needs since it is a lot of what we have to do to make sure we are heard and understood!plus, wowsers did this book get hot. couldn’t put it down!

This book, while a sequel does not fall victim to second book syndrome. This entire series is one that I continuously return to. The characters are so interesting and extremely well developed. the banter between the mcs and their friends are what really make the story amazing. I very highly recommend!!
