Well, maybe it’s my fault, I chose to listen to this audio book knowing this story might push my buttons. I was a little gay boy in high school who was bullied, and I had revenge day-dreams about it. It’s written by a gay author and I thought it might have a nice “CARRIE” cathartic..
I reread this wonderful series, and listened on Audible at the same time. l love that Davidson creates great characters who strength to endure tragedy and violence. Snow survives nightmarish conditions from one who suppose love and nuture you. Fleeing from circumstances he cannot change, he is a survivor.

An very opulent but sad and lonely life. He endured great pain, turmoil and melancholy during his life. It was very distressing that the public and he could not openly accept his gay lifestyle. Alas, he was born too early, and was certainly ahead of his time. A genius indeed.

This was a wonderful book. a rare spin-off that’s as good as the original series. Like another reviewer said, I was surprised I did not miss Oliver and Dayton because this story was so engaging. The female narrator sounds much older than her character. I am not super picky about narration; however, I could not tolerate the dissonance. I quit early so no idea if the story works or not. I gave it 3 stars because i was forced to pick a number
