I absolutely loved these two. While there was definitely serious issues they had to work through, they kept me laughing the whole time. It was really entertaining, and the connection between the two MC’s was great. At first I thought I would be disappointed that it wasn’t dual POV, but it turns out I had..
It works! I don’t know how, but it works. Joel Leslie is superbly disturbing, creepy voices and all. Less snark in this one, but plenty of good natured sniping between the MCs. Leslie switches between the two flawlessly. I had no idea what I was getting with this story. Glad I gave it a listen…
I almost didn’t listen to this because of some unfavorable reviews. I put it off for a while, but am glad I finally listened. It was an emotional story with self discovery after hiding his true self for years. Leo’s love and support was amazing. I really liked it.
This was hands down one of the best stories I’ve ever read/listened to! So much to ponder here…and it has ALL the feels to boot. I’d rather have seen the antagonists tarred and feathered, but hey…comeuppance is real. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The combination of Joel Leslie and ANY story is a must-listen…seriously…a MUST. Enjoy!💖
The most entertaining and awesome part of the story is how it starts and how the main characters David and Alan come together. Right from the start you can feel the sizzling chemistry between the protagonists. Then it’s the world building around them, David a human and Alan a fae who is cursed to live..
I tried but the narrator’s affected voice was so grating and there is an intermittent high-pitched tone in the background that kept me from focusing – like a hearing test. I tried multiple headphones and my truck speakers but kept hearing it. Had to give up quickly.
JA Huss can do no wrong. Just when I think she can’t outdo herself, she does! And her choice for narrators is always on point. Such a good story, great characters and fabulous narration to match. Thank you Ms. Huss !
I enjoyed the tension the author created around two southern boys with religious backgrounds find each other. All is well that ends well but not exactly how you’ll expect it. I found the performance quite flawless and the story suite and engaging.
