Card gaming rivals that both need a big win to change their lives. Watching these two feirce card combatants learn more about each other on a long road trip to the big Odyssey Con and grow in their own ways is a fun and sweet journey of discovery.
I really wanted to love this book, because I am always looking for a good series to get hooked on. Unfortunately, the story is only ok, but the narration was just awful. I did manage to finish the book, but I wanted to poke out my eardrums every time the main character spoke. The pretend..
This was a great start to the series. I’m looking forward to the next. Great narration as usual by Joel Leslie.
Another amazing book by Lily Morton. With Joel Leslie’s amazing talent. My number 1 favorite author.
I can’t even finish this. Nothing happens, and it just drags on with the descriptions of the prince’s clothes. the world is underdeveloped, choosing instead to focus on the various men who are randomly in love with Jamie for no clear reason. /sigh.
I really enjoyed the story.Joel Leslie was, as always fantastic, the other guy, not so much. His narration was a bit wooden. The one thing that really bugged me? Australians say arse, never ass, and with the Aussie accent it just sounds ridiculous. These characters were Australian but the pronunciation of some words were “unusual”..
This book did not work for me. There was almost too much information in one sense but not a whole lot of action and one tiny little sex scene and that’s it. Lots of story bones but not a lot of meat. I won’t be continuing this series.
3 hours of this book was all I could take. Couldn’t couldn’t bear another chapter from Joel. I’m sorry, the voice just did not fit the character or what was written about him. No more Joel Leslie for me.
This story had me laughing from the very start! Warm and hilarious characters told perfectly by the narrator Joel Leslie. I love this book.
