First off, Joel is an excellent narrator and did great with this audio like all of his others. But my poor rating is for the story. Chaz is awful and Kyle deserved better.
The story was unbelievable. An untrained, inexperienced twenty something gets drafted into multiple encounters with bad guys where he comes out on top… unbelievable. Great reading by the performer though!

The 2 books started off slow enough that I almost stopped listening. Don’t! The story really picks up quickly after the lead in. I must say I am truly interested in each character. I hope to see great things for them. I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next installment! Please hurry! 😁
