The first book in this series had me on the edge of my seat. This one just seemed rushed and had a lot of large gaps in time that were summarized in a few sentences. Left me wanting a LOT more.
Of Light and Darkness combines a spectacular world of magic set in modern times with characters you can’t help but love. The narrator did a wonderful job drawing us into the book and bringing the characters, especially Valek, to life, I can’t wait for book two!
The narration was stellar, and the writing was witty and fun. Though, it’s definitely another one of those “fat people are worthy of love books” where the ONLY reason the fat person finds love is because they’re trying not to be fat anymore… It’s kinda like the “strong” female character that’s a misogynist… saying one..

Free-spirited Russian shakes up ‘set in his ways’ Californian – this makes one explosive coupling! The characters were excellently developed and keep the story engaging. The story is very emotional and heartwarming and the chemistry of the couple is tangible. I like the double narration – it fits the characters. Overall a very enjoyable read!
This was a light, endearing and funny read. The Shifter world building is off the beaten track [no mpeg] and nicely done. The characters are well formed and distinctly unique. Joel Leslie as always does an outstanding job at the narration with different accents and intonations.
