I loved it. loved how the Sokolov family and Mercy’s friends stuck together and helped Mercy and Gideon, thats what family and friends are for loving and helping no matter what. i enjoy listening to Karen Rose’s books they are so detailed and very suspenseful and love it when the bad guys loose. A good story with a seamless continuation from Oz. I’m not sure this book would do well as a stand-alone…Great narration, with the characters voice being true to their appearance in Oz.

What an amazing book. I’m not sure what I expected, going into this book… but I loved it!! The characters were real, and funny, and sad, and raw and totally compelling. A VERY enjoyable journey. I highly recommend it!

I like romance books with a strong story line of action and danger around the main characters. It lends an air of believability to the plot, and less of a Cinderella effect to the story. I liked the narrators tremendously, for they made the characters come alive! I can’t wait to read the next book..

I really enjoyed the story, rarely am I disappointed by N.R. Walker and the same with Joel Leslie but this time I was a little disappointed with him. There was a lot of times I couldn’t tell who was speaking because he didn’t change the voices so it was frustrating.
