The narrator was excellent. Very versatile and made you feel what the characters were going through.
This book is an entertaining mix of mystery, action, and romance, but the narrator is super annoying. Not awful enough that I couldn’t listen, but it definitely took some effort to get past it. People who weren’t southern randomly had southern accents, women who weren’t valley girls inexplicably sounded like valley girls. Wtf? Overall though,..
Fun little series. The names of the creatures cracks me up, even more so since I believe in those part of the woods those names are really what they are called. Enjoyed the narrator who read the book in the accent of the region.
This was a very enjoyable listen. The narration was good with each character having their own distinctive voice. The story was interesting with action and humor interspersed throughout. I just wish it was a full length book instead of a novella because I need more cryptids.I was given this free audiobook copy at my request..
when I purchased this I went in believing I would hear an amazing story of the love between Arthur and Lancelot. a good M/M! instead we get this OCFemale charecter who sleeps with both them. so story felt more of a mary sue. M/M/F. I dont care to much for the female charecter. I wanted..
Loved this story. I was so afraid the conflict would be an immigration issue. I don’t know why that would be tops in my mind these days… I was so glad the conflict in this story was more about Jonah and his priorities. I was very happy with the way things turned out. Such a..
I loved the storyline, but the narrator was not good! He made Gideon sound like a goof and Daisy sound wimpy…not good for a hero and heroine!
The storyline seemed jumbled, the repeative nature of the “sorry”, from all of the characters became grating, the over emphasis on female empowerment (of which I’m usually a fan), seemed artificial, the attempt to make flawed, yet “deep”, characters was so blatant it was annoying, the “villan”, and attempts to make him sympathetic, was textbook,..
I so wanted to listen to this book but I just couldn’t. The narrator is HORRIBLE. I didn’t even make it through chapter 1.
I think I would love this book if not for the narrator. I’m 5 hours into it and I think I’m am going to stop. There is not much difference in the characters voices. The women all sound like a man making fun of a woman’s voice. It distracts from the story.
