Why some narrators have to raise their voice at the beginnin of each sentence? I usually lower the speed or the volume. I really wanted to listen this story, but after a few minutes of screamed first words and screeching female caracters my ears are bleeding and I’m giving up.

This is an excellent beginning to a very classy series. The narrator has a voice that is easy to listen to and complimented the story for the most part although assigning common accents to a lady of the aristocracy and to a member of the diplomatic service was an annoying mistake but overall this audiobook..
