Why some narrators have to raise their voice at the beginnin of each sentence? I usually lower the speed or the volume. I really wanted to listen this story, but after a few minutes of screamed first words and screeching female caracters my ears are bleeding and I’m giving up.

This is an excellent beginning to a very classy series. The narrator has a voice that is easy to listen to and complimented the story for the most part although assigning common accents to a lady of the aristocracy and to a member of the diplomatic service was an annoying mistake but overall this audiobook..
The second book to this series was so good. I remember thinking after I read the first one, “Wow!” Just as in the first book, I had no idea. The characters and the plot was written so beautifully. This is what romance should be.

Great story, great narration. Likeable characters. Sweet love story. This one is a keeper for sure. Hope other people like it as much as I did.
I love Felix and Lane. Their banter alone can bring me back and Joel Leslie’s narration is superb. That being said – and without giving much away – for me, the plot was unconvincing and rather lacking.
So disappointed in this book. Have read most of Karen Rose’s book and enjoyed many of them. There was absolutely no suspense in this book. You know who the bad guy is and why he’s doing the things he does. Half of this book is the characters catching other characters up on happenings we already..
