The story is a sweet fake relationship turned real relationship with a cute connection with a solid foundation. They navigate with fun and comedy which causes it to be a book to hear. So listen up, and enjoy the watercolor ride.

I love the happy ending, its not quite what you would expect. The ending is open just enough that it leaves room for a sequel or for the reader to continue the story themselves.
Mal’s story may be shorter than some of the others but it is the perfect length. Not too much angst. Plenty of snark. And a lovely growth for both characters as they learn to trust in what they feel. This is a most satisfying read.
Personally I really enjoyed this story and I do like how well it all came together in the end, I had critiques throughout but they were all accounted for. The main one being that I really saw Maximo’s dad as a bad person, yet he consistently defended him and would never really address how strange..
I literally am going to return a book so I can get the next one! Like, this was sooooo good! Just overall it was amazing!
