I loved this book. A great historical view of President Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd Lincoln. Very accurate summary of their lives. This book was even more interesting since the story was based on actual letters and correspondence of the era. The narrator did an excellent job.

If you’ve seen the musical ‘Suffs’, this is the book it’s based on. It’s a journalistic account of the years leading up to women gaining the vote in the USA in 1920. Parts are pretty dry, and you have to be as patient as the women were, while politicians bloviate and the 19th amendment moves..
I always give credit to a person who has the drive to write a book, so well done there. However, I am sorry to say that I found the story line difficult to follow. There’s a lot to write about in Savannah and to choose this darker drug side got me off on the wrong..
