I downloaded the book based on the sample teaser. There was no indication this was the first book in a series nor of the partisan political propaganda sprinkled throughout. Big disappointment!
I liked the overall gist of this story. Some parts seemed a bit far fetched . Not far fetched in the fact that it could happen, but far fetched in the fact they lived through it. K.Pierce is an awesome narrator

Great story! Really enjoyed the way the stories play out and how Connor was so ingenious! Very matter of fact and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next act of dispatching his foes
