I love when authors throw you into the fire as soon as the book begins. This title is one of those titles. Told from multiple points of view, it felt like i was watching a season of the hit series 24. Lots of intrigue. Lots of action, and a satisfying ending that paves the way..

The author is incredibly skilled at crafting similes and metaphors. He avoids repetitive or clichéd descriptions. Good character development. I felt the ending to book four was a bit rushed. I really enjoyed the recursion of an author writing about an author.

The author’s political views were upfront and in your face. not my thing. I prefer a more neutral approach to a story, not making a disaster all the fault of side or the other.
