This was engaging to the very end! I couldn’t believe the horror the Cox family endured!

Review from If I Can’t Have You: →
Most of this story was either written poorly, doesn’t make sense or is unbelievable. I mean the world starts falling apart the first day of the EMP strike? The main character wakes up from sleep and immediately knows there’s been an EMP strike, not to mention she’s already fully prepared with supplies? People are starving..
this book is about a man and his belief in magic and only a little about an. apocalypse. note to the author thanks for wasting my money
Good true crime book. well researched. My only real problem is there was some fat that could have been trimmed. It was simply too long. Good Narration.
The characters are so well developed you feel like you know them. It was hard not to listen all day!
Along with “The Stranger Beside Me” and “In Cold Blood” this book gripped me completely & didn’t let me go until the end. Jack Olsen truly seeks to give you Frederick Harlan Coe’s back story & why he did what he did. I loved his enduring focus on the victims and his sensitivity to them..
I love all the characters. I can’t wait to start the next book, but I have to go to work now. I’m counting down the minutes till lunch break
Realistic and refreshing story. It was well worth listening to. Glad to see the author made it realistic.
