Since a “SHTF” kept me on the edge of my seat…. Being my favorite genre, I’m extremely picky and will shut it down quick if it doesn’t hold my interest..That being said, this one DID… I highly recommend. Too much effort put in the “why” and “who” of the characters. Slow crawl to the story actually getting to the apocalypse event beginning to effect the characters. Hard to hang in there while listening especially with the long diatribes of the characters. His early books were much better. These seem like efforts to draw..
