Review from The Beginning of Sorrows →
I have read a ton of true crime. This author has you wrapped up in the story start to finish. A lot of detail but not too much that it gets repetitive like some authors.
Love this storyline, keeps evolving with each character. I’m listening to one part, I think about where and how the character is to the other parts. With the way Ryan writes and as the characters evolve, it makes you wonder where his mind will go next. Kevin Pierce is the undoubtedly the best choice for..
The general premise of the story is where the merit of this story ends. It seems to be written by a man with the intellect of a middle schooler, for others with the mental capacity of an 8 year old.
I can’t believe it, but I actually cried during this book. All these years later, just heart broken for the families. I will be going to the grave site my self to pay my own respect. I can’t recommend this enough to Anyone and everyone. I was barely alive when all this happened, and therefore..
This is one of the best westerns I have listened to. It involves shootings and Bounty hunting. There is a lot of adventure and plenty of suspense. A well worth listen. This is my first time listening to kevin peirce as a narriater. He is good I wished he did a lot more westerns.
I started listening to this book thinking it was a novel. By the time i realized it was true crime, I was deeply engrossed and couldn’t stop! This is well written and well narrated. I am going to look for more from this author.
The first two hours will take your breath away. Then it begins to slow down and for the next couple of hours it will drag and become tedious. Then it picks up speed again to an awesome ending I truly love this book and would recommend it highly.
These guys are great. But even better is it being read by Kevin Pierce. He could read a NYC phone book and not only keep it interesting and exciting but leave you wanting more.
