I loved it. I loved the characters and the story. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series. The narration was excellent also.

A little repetitive in some areas, but a fascinating story about human behaviors, strengths and weaknesses. I especially appreciated the insights into how well we can deceive ourselves, even when we know better. That alone is a wise and timely insight for these times

I got about 3 1/2-4 chapters in and had to stop listening to this and returned it. WAY to graphic for me. I was disappointed because I absolutely LOVED the narrators voice, but absolutely couldn’t hack it on how graphically everything was described. I’m clapping because it took bravery for June to get through her awful life and get to a wonderful life. I can only imagine how many women have gone through or even still going through the pain from abuse.
I love this trilogy and it captivated me all the way through. The narrator was outstanding. I found myself thinking about my own situation if I were placed in this story as it’s very easy to do. I enjoyed hearing about some basic survival techniques and it made me realize that there’s a lot more..

I didn’t know anything about this book when I hit the download button, but after about 10 chapters I started back at the beginning. Terrifyingly real…times two. Not a story to read to the kids at bedtime, but such a wake up call to the evil in the world. I have about 160 audible titles..
