Build up of plot and characters starts solidly but belies the flat, lackluster finish. Use of terminology it’s sometimes inaccurate and frequently overused. Mostly felt like I was reading the story rather than living in it. Won’t select another offering from the author.

Great read!

Yes! A great read, with me sitting on the edge of my seat throughout. The writing is so good one of Paynes best in my opinion. I am looking forward to the next book. Even though it may mean that I won’t get any sleep, because once you start you will NOT put the book..
Cheesy and annoying

Sorry, but I just couldn’t get through this one. I have about 45 minutes left island it’s getting more and more ridiculous. The voice of the “sassy” grandmother is the worst noise I can imagine. The story is rushed, and reads like a entry level survival manual that they tried to turn into a story…
First, I have to say, the story line is interesting enough that I did not give up, which is saying a lot for an audio selection of this length. However, Kevin Pierce’s accents made the marathon listen difficult. It’s a shame, because overall, Mr. Pierce is a VERY good narrator. As long as the character..
excellent
