While Goodwin manages a good story, the constant descriptions of guns and ammunition is extremely irritating. There are aspects which suggest the writer may be a MAGA. He has drunk the Kool-aid. However, leanings on Christian teaching are good and values presented here have been absent from the world for too long.
Good narrator, OK book…. Definitely left something to desire and the ending was very disappointing…. I got it on a free credit, so I can’t complain, but I wouldn’t pay for it, personally….
I struggled to get into the story it wasn’t until they left the homestead that I got hooked and couldn’t put it down!!

Narration is great, Kevin pierce reads all the stories. Many interesting stories without the commitment of the entire book. Overall worth the listen .
