This is long, long, loooonnng story that could have been told in half the time. The reader does sink into the mire of needless minutiae. And for pity’s sake, Mr. Pierce, learn how to pronounce Lubbock. It is LUB-buck, never, ever is it “LUB – bick”.

I usually can sit thru many early chapters to see if my interest can be peaked. Not so with this one. Too bad.
I have read.several of his series all are amazing well written and draw you into their world and thats what I love about a good book its actually an escape from the real world
really enjoyed all the references to the TX landscape, and the post apocalyptic hypotheticals. the performance was good, and I was invested in the characters. cant wait for more!
