Compelling writing, great narrating. Needed a good edit. I found many of the characters (friends and girlfriends of “Son”) unbelievably naive right up to the end. Interesting story, be prepared to be disgusted, creeped out , and- if you’re a woman- being extra careful in the dark.

there are 3 stories that when combined should make one normal length book. expect for not much to happen unless you want to waste 3 credits. I thought the book was really good. The characters, I felt, were believable. Real, ordinary people with all their beliefs and failings. No super heroes. I enjoy listening to Kevin Pierce as his voice(s) are wonderful. He helps make the story even better. I look forward to listening to the next book!

This book was much better than I was expecting. It was told in more of a story form than other true crime books I’ve listened to lately. It had a lot of background on all the people involved as well as the full court proceedings. I was really happy that a few updates we’re added..
such a great premise for a post apocalyptic story. Easy to buy into what would happen to society if the electric grid was destroyed. The characters are well rounded & believable. The narrator’s voice gives the story gravitas. Well done!
Enjoyed this story though in truth it is very similar to some others. A well prepared man trying to get home to his family in a world of unprepared desperate people and prediitor. It is interesting to note how each author has a bit different take though and how they unfold the story.
