The length of Horton’s books are far too short. At least, that’s how they feel when the current book comes to an end. This is the 2nd book in the series and as good as the first. There were less inconsistencies with this book than the first, though I still think the time line moved..

The language was unnecessary rough and made listening a chore at times. Descriptive violence and gore also went well beyond what was needed for realism. I will probably finish the series but definitely avoid this author in the future.
