The author gives the characters very believable life. From the heroic to the vile; all entirely human. The survival information is incredibly accurate in most cases. Absolutely recommend.

Great story with personable characters. A lot of detail to keep track of. The good guys come out ahead in the end regardless of their losses. I have read the entire trilogy twice so far and will probably read it again just in case I missed something.
Great story, particularly like the support from selected scripture. Although completed several years ago it is timeless story still in 2025.
This series caught my attention from the first chapter and kept it till the end of the third book!Lots of action throughout the series. People protecting what is theirs. Well done.
I am from Utah and am very familiar with the story. I also listened to Dave Cawley’s podcast. I listened to the Audio version. The male narrator was good but the female narrator was the worst narrator I have ever head on Audible. It sounded like a cross between an old woman and an AI..
Good post apocalyptic story. Action good. Plot believable. Some character development. Narrator with no emotion.

His quoting of scripture with the books brings me back to the Bible to search for more of Gods words about or reflected in his books. The story really helps to explain what it could look like. Love the story and hate when they end. You feel like you really know these characters
I like that the characters are not super human. It’s also not easy to tell which political leaning the author has. This story comes across more as a warning about dark governments and picking a left or right side and forgetting the American side.
