The plot goes way beyond the dysfunctional relationship. While not a total surprise I never guessed the final twist in the story
Franklin Horton crafts a story straight out of present day headlines. Its frightening to read his description of the de-evolution of society as they realize what has transpired and how long they will be impacted. Kevin Pierce does a marvelous job of bringing the characters to life and delivers another stunning performance.
Franklin Horton does a great job of taking a real world concern and crafting a compelling story. The story draws you in and takes you into the heart of a very possible post apocalyptic event. As always Kevin Pierce is absolutely fabulous and its hard to imagine another narrator delivering the performance like he does.
As I’ve said in other reviews, this book is average and the listening time is below average, so the author is getting over, imo, since he’s not giving us much for the money.
Im upset with AJ Newman, because this book is only five and a half hours. The books in this series are written in an average intelligence, he is certainly not a Shakespeare. That said, it’s about as entertaining as a television program (movies are more entertaining than television, hence the higher price to attend those)…

I returned this one. The writers seem like they’re 40-something shut-ins. Narrator is decent enough.
