The story was an accurate depiction of groups of people on all sides trying to survive an Electromagnetic Pulse with an invasion.A wonderful job of portraying characters and it was very easy to project yourself into the story.An interesting listen.
Terrible terrible theology. Why was Stephen going to this crappy church in the first place if he’s so spiritual? How is it he can so easily dismiss his (incredibly one dimensional) pastor of his church? Not a good story. Abuses scripture.

This is a very well researched and organized book. It’s a totally enthralling story of a remarkable woman who managed to overcome unimagineable abuse and make something of her life. And Kevin Pierce’s performance is flawless. NOTE: I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I should have known something was amiss when the Author’s prequel starts off by explaining the structure of the series has been reworked. and the timeline is jumping forward and backward. Even the abilities of Kevin Pierce couldn’t save it.
I caught myself listening to this book during times I typically listen to music, such as working around the house and exercising. The story had my interest from chapter one.
