Fairly clean language and good story of a new prepper on D day. Good opportunity to think about what I would do if given a few hours notice of impending doom.

Horton is an exceptional writer in this genre he makes it easy relating to characters .

I’m feel like the book should be written well enough that I want to buy the sequel. Ending on a cliffhanger shouldn’t be needed. All books should have a conclusion. Other than that, the book was a good read.

Too many of these post apocalypse tales are filled with prepper propaganda and self-back patting. American Survivor is about how regular men, women, and children deal with the end of American civilization. It was refreshing and I enjoyed it!

My only problem is the books are too short for a bit too much money in my opinion
