Typical of genre, except more boring than usual. I had downloaded books two and three as well but deleted them without even listening to them.
Same ol’, same ol’

Extremely relatable, knowledgable, educational & captivating. This book is very well written keeping you on your toes and engaged while teaching you some interesting facts and keeping you emotionally involved with the characters .

The narrator was exceptional and the explanation behind The story could potentially play out. The blood and guts and the treatment of the dead were a bit far out there, but the plot behind the invasion was realistic.
Felt like a mess thrown together to release something. Horton has done this before in his other series. The borrowed world went desperation mode in the roadhouse episode and never really recovered. Unfortunately he pulled the same desperate move in the mad mick. Very unfortunate. Hopefully he starts a new series because he’s wonderful when..
Amazing. I could easily visualize the scenes. Loved the Langston crew. Well put together storyline. Continuity and references/ military jargon on point. I wish I had end of world preparedness as a part of my upbringing. It sounded exciting.
I truly enjoyed the entire series!! This was the first series from Boyd that I have listened to, but it definitely won’t be the last! Great story, unexpected plot twist, characters !! Thank you!!
This should have been a stand alone book. The first two books were great but this one failed and falls flat.
It’s an interesting book, but way too melodramatic. There were some serious laugh out loud funny moments that were meant to be completely serious. The narrator is mid at best. He sounds like he should have retired about 12 years ago. If you don’t like this type of genre, you won’t get past the so-so..
I don’t hate the books, they’re pretty decent. I just keep getting disappointed with certain aspects and feel like he dropped the ball on a few opportunities with the characters. It’s like we build up to something that could be interesting and it deflates. I won’t stop listening though. Thanks.
