I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I will try to only buy books that I have no problem listening to again. It’s well-written and well narrated and it’s not your normal SHTF book. I like it when Post-Apocalyptic novels come from a different angle and from a regular Joe’s prospective.
I can really identify with the hero in this one. A different storyline leading up to he usual “event” in this genre. Looking forward to the next installment. Kevin Pierce is far and away my favorite narrator

When an EMP hit nothing works including cars. A bunch of people who have absolutely no common sense. Supplies are not important. Checking people’s back packs is an after thought. I will not be purchasing book three if there is one. Kevin Pearce does his normal great job.

I really enjoyed this book in the series. I am not a big fan of the ending but did provide hope and if there is a next book I am in. Nice to see a female lead given I have two daughters I have raised very similar as to not be dependent on others.

These books are good. But they are a rip-off for the price. They should be sold 2 for the price of one.
I like this particular brand of EOTW/SHTF series. Usually there are true believers in preparedness books and unbelievers of preparing. But, in this particular book it’s a spouse that is screwing up the hubbies preparedness. This particular spouse/wife has a twin sister that is totally opposite of her and is prepared in every way imaginable…
